Bathroom sink upgrade to vessel sink was a first for me, I had picked up from an auction the faucet ($5) then the vessel sink ($79). Needing a 31″ x 20″ flat counter top I decided to make my own using leftover plywood and some leftover flooring which did not have a pad attached and I used wood glue then clamped it overnight before drilling the drain and faucet holes..
With all the options out there this counter top was completed for less than $90 which included a longer drain pipe since the sink drawn was now at the counter. I stayed away from granite or anything solid surface due to the 2 holes I needed to drill, plus this is not a very big space, I looked at some YouTube ideas that were decent, including an old desk and small dresser.
The old sink was built with a counter top and back splash, I plan on using wall tile as the fiberglass 1980’s tub/shower is on my list to replace, I think I can replace the tub and tile the walls in less than 11 days, just 10 days more than the ads I see on TV.
