Side Window repair
When I moved here last year the front side window was so badly rotted I had nailed a shower curtain over the window knowing I had more important items to repair, I finally had the time to unveil the window and see what I was up against. The sill was beyond repair as were some of the sidinding boards, as luck would have it I came across a broken window laying in the attic which was the same size as well as being in good condition.
Now that I had the replacement sill I tore the bad siding off crossing my fingers that insuation was in the walls which it had! I just added some roofing paper which I had plenty left over, then started replacing the boards using old and new wood. primer and paint to follow.
Just a side note the window was painted shut for many years, the inside den windows were used to replace them, as they were not being used inside the house.
