Main House Bath

Okay I repaired busted pipe in crawl space of main house, checked date code on the hot water heater and found it was 13 years old, it is also below the stairs and behind the toilet, which has to come out to get the heater out, I never imagined a hot water heater not accessible unless the toilet was removed.

Well since the toilet would not clean up and the water heater was on borrowed time I decided to replace both, along with the bathtub fixtures which look like they should have been replaced 10 years ago.

The upstairs 1/2 bath has cracked hot and cold water lines so for the time being I installed water cut-off valves downstairs as I just need one working bathroom and kitchen sink, I’ll fix that bathroom later.

CPVC was used for most of the plumbing, It used black 4 inch plastic drain pipes in main house and white PVC drains in guest house (added at a later date) The house had no indoor plumbing or electric when it was built.

Note CPVC can withstand higher temperatures than PVC and costs a little more
