Den Floor finished! well it’s been awhile since I posted but I have had other repairs to make around here that did not get posted, It has been super hot and humid here in NC.
The den floor was time consuming because I added another sheet of plywood on top of what was there so the engineered hardwood would wind up being the same floor height as the old floor.
That said the difference from the old to the new is pretty dramatic. All the baseboards needed to come out and the surround sound speaker wires that can be seen in the photo had to be rerouted to come out the wall instead. These were coming out an old A/C vent that was no longer being used because a few years back I installed a mini-split system to heat and cool the den.
Well some fresh paint on the baseboards and bead board and this project is done!
